Reiki and Meningitis
A few weeks ago I submitted a request for distant healing for a seven-year-old girl who was suddenly taken ill and appeared to have meningitis. She developed huge swelling around her brain and became unconscious. She was rushed up to Guy's hospital in London and put on life-support. The parents were told she might be brain-damaged if she regained consciousness. They were not hopeful she would be able to breath on her own for a long time, if at all, and they might at some time have to make the decision to switch off the life-support machine.

I spoke to my son, a friend of the girl's father, yesterday and was astonished to hear she was not on the life-support machine and back home. She could walk and talk and was last seen singing and dancing!

She is being monitored to see how she gets on at school now and is still having some physiotherapy on one leg, but what a result! Thank you to all who sent her healing and WELL DONE! What a team! God Bless, In Love and Peace, Beatrice xx

Paralyzed Speech Healed
A medical practitioner that had a severe heart attack 5 years back ended up with his left side paralyzed. With repeated physical therapy he can now walk a little bit. His tongue is also partially paralyzed so his speech is not clear. His wife requested I start giving him Reiki with the aim to get his speech clear. On the seventh day I got feed back from his wife that his voice is becoming clear and his behavior has become quite decent. I talked to him over the phone and found that his speech has become almost clear and he is quite happy to find this improvement. Though he does not have faith in Reiki yet he wanted me to continue. Reiki and Cardiomyopathy
Thank you for such a wonderful newsletter! I am so glad that I found your web site. I have received my 2nd level Reiki training and practice self-Reiki daily. I provide Reiki for interested friends and loved ones! I'll briefly share my story.

I was diagnosed in August 2002, with cardiomyopathy or chronic congestive heart failure. At the time of the diagnosis I became severely out of breath walking across my living room. I was started on medication by my cardiologist and I believed my heart could heal. I began my Reiki training in January 2004, and since then have reduced my medication by two-thirds and am enjoying high and low impact aerobics classes 3-4 times weekly. Simply amazing healing! I have had success in Reiki treatments with migraine headaches and sciatica. My training is in occupational therapy and I am a practicing aromatherapist. Marilyn Harber

A Boy's Chance
A client contacted me that knew a boy that was very disturbed and needed help. The doctors and teachers at his school had given up on him. His mother said she would try anything.
He came for Reiki and it was almost as though he knew it would help him. He lay calmly on the treatment couch for an hour. That shocked his Mum and me. Once the session was over this little boy was different. He could not wait to come back for his next Reiki healing. Mum had to book the next available day. He was getting better and better. It took only three sessions and you wouldn't believe it was the same boy. His family, the school and everyone had said what a difference there is in him.

He has told me he now has all the power inside him and for his birthday he would love to take a Reiki one class. He said he knows he will become a Reiki teacher one day and help people too. Yvonne McSherry

Reiki heals Insomnia
A lady of 57 years and suffering from insomnia for 13 years learned Reiki One. After a week she phoned me and told me she started sleeping better without medicine. A man of 60 years learned Reiki One who had insomnia for the last 30 years. After 2 weeks he called me and told me he was feeling fresh during the day and after 2 weeks started sleeping better and wants to learn Reiki Two. My mom aged 85 years started sleeping better after taking Reiki One. Anjna Brahmbhatt

Broken Wrist Healed
One of my Reiki clients broke her left wrist in three places. The doctor told her they would have to do surgery and possibly use a plate and/or pins or screws to put it back together. I started doing weekly Reiki sessions immediately and did three sessions before her scheduled surgery. By that time the swelling had gone down much faster than the doctor anticipated, and the pain was practically gone. The doctor did a CT scan two days before surgery and was amazed at the level of healing that had taken place. He cancelled the surgery and put on a permanent cast that was much shorter. We continued the Reiki sessions for four more weeks and the wrist is now as good as new. Doug Gibbs

Migraine, Arthritis, Pain Healed
At the time of taking Reiki I in 2000 I was suffering from severe migraine followed by vomiting almost on daily basis and arthritis which resulted in swelling in my fingers. By the grace of God both the problems were over thanks to Reiki.

Immediately after Reiki II in 2000 I did distant healing to a colleague of mine who was suffering from severe pain at the coccyx area. As a result she has not been able to move and sit properly. On her request I gave Reiki for 21 days. Her pain was completely over. Now she wants to become a Reiki channel. Most probably she will be taking Reiki I very soon. Shaji NK

Reiki and Kidney Stone
I am very excited to share my story of the amazing results Reiki can offer. I received my first degree in November 2003, so my experience in the field has been limited. I received a very early phone call from my mom that my dad was in the hospital. He had kidney stones and one was lodged in his urinary tract that caused the toxins to back up into his system and caused an extremely high fever. This stone had to be dislodged with surgery.

When I got to the hospital I was shocked with the condition of my father. He was white as a ghost and shaking uncontrollably with five blankets on him. I was able to do Reiki on his feet because he had so many wires and tubes everywhere else. Within 20 minutes of my session with him he had removed all of the blankets and stopped shaking. He began to sweat so much that his hospital gown and sheets had to be changed. Then he became very uncomfortable and was having some sharp pain that got me nervous as I thought I had made the situation worse. Being new to the field I just wasn't 100% sure.

Well, the doctors confirmed the stone had dislodged and he was out of immediate danger but could not explain why it had dislodged without surgery. The nurses told him it was the biggest stone they had ever seen. I am so thankful he is home and feeling much better. Jill Fredricks

Kidney Stone Dissolved
I got a call from my 22-year-old daughter early one morning. She could barely talk and was doubled over in excruciating pain and not able to move. All she spoke was "Mom, please help." I began to panic not knowing what was happening with my daughter. I knew that there was no way I could get to her fast enough that would serve her well since I live approximately 30 - 35 minutes away. I could hear in her voice that something was seriously wrong and she needed help fast. She was home alone with my 2-1/2 year old grandson!
I called my sister who lives just a few blocks away and asked her to please go to her that she was in serious trouble and needed to get to the hospital immediately. The hospital being approximately 8 blocks distance from both my daughter and sister's house. By the time they reached the hospital she was nearly unconscious from the pain. I was on my way. By the time I arrived she was in the back of the ER still in excruciating pain and not able to move or talk, lying on her stomach. They had taken a urine sample, which revealed large amounts of blood. I began praying requesting and invoking the power of the Holy Spirit and all powers that be of the One Most High, including all arch angels & all ascended Reiki masters.

Once I felt myself within the light, completely engaged, I began. I immediately went to the lower-mid part of her back, which was just radiating, almost as if someone was holding fire under my hand! I saw a vision of what appeared to be a miniature version of a kidney, however, clouded and grey. I began to see this within my minds eye slowly being dissolved and breaking down. It began moving in an upward motion. I continued extending healing for about 10 - 15 minutes. At that point, she cried, "Mom, please stop it hurts"! I was reminded that spirit has no concept of our human pain. I stopped. After 10 - 20 minutes later she said, "Mom, what did you do? The pain is going away." She was able to move and the pain began subsiding. She went to use the bathroom again and they had her using a filter to see if anything was being released.
Sure enough it was a kidney stone that had mysteriously began dissolving and was passing all toxins! Her body was raked with bacteria, however, the kidney and what was, is no more! The Power of the Holy Spirit and All That Is, when invoked, believed with all-knowing is ministered
to our side and utilized within each of us when we so choose it to be that way! God and His healing, the Powers of All That Is, the Creator's Divine Love manifest miracles and healing. Thanks and praise to the healing, mercy and grace extended. Namaste' April Colon-Pagan

Practicing in a Hospital
Here is some encouragement for those of you inspired to help people. I was asked to provide Reiki in our small town hospital. The town has a population of about 3,000 people. It is an agricultural community. It took some time before it all came together but I knew it would when the time was right. They asked me to participate in the local health fair. I did 15-minute sessions. The people that attended were so receptive. I was still giving sessions for an hour after the health fair was over.

People with aches and pains walked away with relief. The hospital administrator told me "now I know we must have Reiki in the hospital." They knew it was being provided in big town
hospitals but were unsure how to handle the credentialing. The company that provides this service for them didn't know what to do ether. I gave them a copy of my master certificate and a
letter of recommendation from my Reiki teacher Dr. B.J. Ferral. The hospital board of directors decided to accept these. The administrative staff was very thorough to make sure they did not
put themselves in a poor legal position for liability. They decided to have me come in as a subcontractor. I will rent a room and provide a table, the advertising and insurance.

We are starting at one day a week, and will expand according to demand. We also provided the doctors stories of how Reiki is used in other hospitals. I know as they start seeing the benefits they will start giving me referrals.

It is exciting to me every time I provide a Reiki session and see the clients eyes light up. I know I have been blessed and am ready to share it with all. I hope this will help anyone that would like to provide Reiki in their local hospital.

My Daughter's Migraine
I am a Reiki Master and a couple of months ago my daughter came down with an unbearable migraine. Unfortunately we had run out of her prescription migraine medicine. So I ran to the drugstore to get it refilled. By the time I got home her migraine was full-blown. Her eyes were slightly crossed and unfocused. Her speech was slurred. She felt nauseous. I gave her medicine and told her to lie down on the floor on a couch mattress.

About 45 minutes later the migraine had not let up as she had taken her medicine too late. I felt so helpless. I too used to get unbearable migraines and often had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. I couldn't bear to see her suffer so! Then she asked me to put my hands on her head. I activated the power symbol and said a prayer to my guides and helpers. I imagined healing energy pouring from my hands into her head. About 20 minutes later she asked me to put my hands on her tummy, which still felt queasy, but her headache had diminished. I thought it was probably because her meds had finally kicked in.

About ten minutes later her migraine kicked in again and she asked me to put my hands on her head again. I did so and very shortly afterwards she said her migraine was completely gone! She was able to roll over and slip into a peaceful sleep after giving me a big hug. I then realized that I was an effective channel for the Reiki energy after all and I felt deeply humbled and filled with gratitude. Sincerely, Cindy Baecher, Indiana
