Reiki and Alzheimer’s
My mother has had Alzheimer’s disease for 14 years. She lost her ability to speak 8 years ago. Visiting her is the most devastating emotional experience, so much so that I use to avoid it all costs. With only one way communication, the visit is very awkward especially because she is still "aware" enough to understand what is going on. She is also physically completely incapacitated. Her body is often so tightly constricted that no one can release her clenched limbs. She is truly trapped inside herself. When I learned Reiki, I didn't know how I would use it, until I visited my mom. In her usual way, she was all closed up emotionally and physically when I arrived. Soon into the Reiki treatment, her arms and legs dropped, her head relaxed into the headrest of the wheel chair. It was amazing to watch! But then, her facial expression changed from her usual frown to a serene sweet smile that lasted the rest of the visit! What a gift for everyone Reiki is!! I feel I can actually give my mom something to help her and in turn, it helps me too! I am struck with so much gratitude and hope. Thank you compassionate, loving Reiki energy!! Lynn

Reiki and Epstein-Barr/Fibromyalgia
I have suffered with Epstein-Barr virus and Fibromyalgia pain since I was 19 years old. I will be 39 in May. I have seen so many doctors and have had so many tests and scans. I've been on so many medications over the past 20 years. Until recently I was taking 90mg of Morphine 3 times a day. I also had 3 vertebrates fused in my back a year ago and since the surgery the discs above and below the fusion were bulging causing pain. The Morphine helped very little with my pain. Upon waking I walked like I had polio. It hurt to sit, to stand, to walk. I would not shake hands with anyone because of my hand pain. My joint pain was the worst; every joint hurt all the time. I would wince just to bend my arm. I felt like this while taking the morphine. I prayed to die just to end the pain I endured each day.

Reiki stopped all of the pain with the help of a wonderful Reiki Master, Susanna Glaze!!! It took approximately 4 months. I had 2 treatments a week. The treatments lasted 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs. She did this and never asked for anything in return. I did bring her crafts and art to trade for the Reiki treatments and she always said it was too much. I now pay her and it will never be enough because my pain is gone and I am off all morphine. My life has changed so dramatically in the last 4 months. My husband is astounded. My friends can hardly believe this miracle. They are all grateful. No one is as grateful as I am. I have healed physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I could not have done this without the love and compassion of my good friend Susanna. She taught me that the true meaning of Reiki is love, and there is nothing like the healing human touch. Susanna is now teaching me Reiki; and to honor its tradition and history. I wish more people knew that Reiki really works. Danielle Wise, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Reiki Changed My Life
I was very fortunate to have received my I & II attunements from an excellent teacher, Anna Carlson. I am looking forward to receiving my Master's attunements. Mr. Rand's book, The Healing Touch, is something I reference daily. What a wonderful and helpful book. I now perform treatments on my family regularly.

At first I knew I was meant to be a healer, but was not sure what path I should take. After receiving my attunements, I knew this was my calling. My mother was bed-ridden due to a sore hip. She was once very active and taught martial arts. With her extreme hip pain, more time was spent in bed rather than out in her garden. A couple of weeks after receiving my attunements, I treated my mother. After the first treatment, she was surprised to wake up with very little pain. After a couple more treatments, the pain was no more. Her and my father are now enjoying a cruise to Puerto Rico.

I am popular at my office because I have an incredible knack of ridding my coworkers of their headaches and easing stress. Reiki is a very important part of my life now and I love that I am opening people's consciousness to the wonders of this art. Mr. Rand, thank you for your insightful books and I look forward to reading the Reiki Master's Manual one day soon. Johnny
