Reiki Heals Knee Injury
I began learning Reiki some two years ago, initially my parents were both very skeptical. My father has been suffering from knee problems for many years due he thought to an injury received in a parachute jump. He asked me to do Reiki on his knee as he had found that after it flared up again he had been to the doctor and told they couldn’t find a major problem which left him at a loss to what was wrong with his knee.

I sat on the floor and he sat in a chair and I gave Reiki just on his knee for the first session. During the treatment my dad fell asleep and on waking him after the Reiki he said it was the best sleep he had had in many years and he was only asleep for about an hour. During the treatment I picked up that he seemed to have a blockage in his heart centre and solar plexus. I explained to him I felt the knee injury to be part of his body’s way of warning him of stress as it seemed he was in pain when stressed or dealing with emotional difficulty. He was skeptical about the Reiki but on contacting him the next day he said the pain had gone completely and he felt very well. I suggested he keep track of when the pain arrived and see if he could relate it to his emotions. Again the pain returned to his knee - I gave him Reiki but this time a full treatment so his chakra areas were treated also. Many months later my parents have decided to emigrate and my dad agrees since making this decision his knee has stopped giving him any trouble. He feels the Reiki helped him to come to a decision to live for himself and his wife and with this new emotional choice the old pain or reminder has gone.

My Dad will go from skeptic to Reiki 1 as I am due to attune both my parents in July when I have my masters. They will be the first I attune. Reiki Heals Back
The journey of a life time began with Reiki; it was like finding my way back home. There was a piece of me that was missing. It started eight or so years ago. I began a quest to learn more about myself through my Native American heritage. I devoured every book I could get my hands on about the native culture and history. What a grand adventure. . . . . .

At the time I had just entered massage therapy school. My life was flowing. Midway through school I developed a debilitating back problem. Because I was in such pain both physically and emotionally I was unable to attend class. I decided to try a chiropractor but I was still in unbearable pain. My days were numbered. I had missed seven of the nine days allowed before being dropped from the program. I had worked so hard and knew with every breath in me that I was supposed to be a therapist. I questioned why this happened. Better yet, what I could do to transform this obstacle into an opportunity.

Then a miracle happened. While lying in bed at 3:00 a.m. unable to sleep because of the pain and depression over the possibility of being kicked out of school a feeling of clarity came to me. I knew I could be healed through Reiki. I felt led to place my hands on the back of my head. I said a simple prayer of faith and love. The heat began to travel through my body. I felt like I was in a furnace. It didn't hurt and felt so loving and peaceful, like I was being cradled. Within minutes I felt an excruciating pain in my lower back and cried out. It was as if two hands had taken my spine and snapped it back into place. At first I was stunned then I realized I had no more pain. At that moment tears of joy, relief and gratitude flowed down my cheeks. I sat up and got out of bed with no pain! It was gone! I thanked God for this miracle and the wonderful gift of Reiki he had brought into my life.

Changed forever, I finished school and went on to be blessed to take mastership in Usui and Karuna Reiki®. This is but one of many of my blessed journeys with Reiki! Reiki continues to bring miracles into my life each day. Sandra Mitchell

Reiki Heals Stroke
I recently had a patient who suffered from having a stroke. He experienced a mild weakness on his left side and great difficulty walking because he could not balance, was dizzy and had double vision. He fell a lot and couldn't walk outdoors. Also, he reported that he felt like worms were crawling in his head. He saw a neurologist, neuro surgen, and a balance therapist with no improvement and in fact his symptoms got worse as he began vomiting.

I started giving him Reiki treatments and cranialsacreal therapy, followed by balancing exercises. After four treatments, this 83 year old gentelman recovered completely. Now he can drive, and go for walks with no complaints - no double vision and his head is back to normal. Each time he recieved a treatment, he went into deep relaxation within 30 seconds and said it was a heavenly feeling. Reiki can do miracles. —Hima Dalal, Lexington, S.C.

Healing Severe Injuries
I am a new practitioner who worked with a client who had fallen from a ladder. This woman suffered serious injuries to neck vertebrae and back and had injuries to hands and arms. Both of her eyes were black and blue, and she had been bed-ridden for seven weeks.

I offered to give her Reiki treatments in hopes that it would aid in her recovery. She agreed but was apprehensive about the treatment process. The concept of having another person's hands on her was something that was scary to her. She called my house four days later.

When I heard her voice I didn't recognize it, but she sounded clear and joyful as she spoke about her progress. I felt I was witness to a miraculous healing and the look on my face was probably comical in its expression of joy and amazement. It bolstered my belief in what I will be able to accomplish in my life as a Reiki healer. My best to you all! George Chavez

Reiki and Infertility
We have been married for over six years and have wanted a child. During this time, we had sexual intercourse regularly with this purpose in mind but were not able to conceive.

Friends and family regularly spoke to us about this, and this caused us a lot of shame. We always accused each other for not been potent which lead us to conduct a medical test after which she was told that because she had been operated on and has only one ovum it would be very difficult for her to produce. I was told that I have a very low sperm count. Hearing this placed us in a lot of distress. However, I became a Reiki three and she received Reiki one training and we began doing Reiki for conception. We are happy to say that she is now pregnant. We are so blessed to find out about Reiki. I invite all Reiki practitioners to send us Reiki energy until July 2007 when the baby is due. Rachel and Komlan

Reiki and the Office
I cracked up when I read the article on Reiki in the Office. A week ago I had a problem with a situation at work where I was called into a meeting. I will not go into the details except that several people were very negative about me. I was angry the first day, but took time to examine the situation as objectively as I could. Near as I could tell it was an attack based on personalities rather than thoughtless behavior on my part. But I was still angry and more than a little hurt, so I decided to put the situation at work on my long distance Reiki list. Funny, why would I try so many things that do not work on office politics and one that I know is 100% effective becomes the last resort!

Anyhow, over the course of the weekend I thought about the gal who had the most enmity towards me, and decided that if she were healthier and happier I would then assume the position of unimportance in her life that is the natural position for me. So onto the Reiki list she went.

I noticed the first day after the job situation went on the list that work felt better, with even a little pocket of extra Reiki energy waiting for me to use. Now it has been a week and though I have made behavior changes and am treading very carefully, the situation and the lady both seem to be carrying less stress, and so am I! Christine
