Reiki Improves Clotting Factor
November 19, 2001 I was going to be operated on for a stone in my right kidney. After being two weeks in a hospital under study, my clotting factor was about 29. The same day I was given a couple of K vitamin shots to raise the factor. Next day I was taken to the operating room, but again the clotting factor was only 30. The operation was suspended and I was told, under these conditions, they could not operate because of the high risk of hemorrhage. I went home and began to look for Reiki on the internet. I found several Reiki healers who did not charge for the service. I sent my problem to them because I am an old man of 75 and my retirement pension is a little over US$100. I started to immediately receive answers saying my petition would be fulfilled at that very moment.

After two weeks I went to a blood specialist and after several analyses my clotting factor had increased to 93. I was successfully operated on November 25 2002. I must say I recommend Reiki to any one who suffers. Thank you for giving me the chance to have this case known. I live in Chile, South America. Julio Villarroel

Gall Bladder Operation
I am a healer and Reiki master. Almost daily I am giving a Reiki treatment to at least one sister here, a brother there. I feel the working of Reiki. Especially my wife can feel heaviness at a part of a body and the doctor will find some disorder there. My daughter never takes a pill and relies upon me for treatment. She immediately feels the heat as soon as I start cleansing.

A few months back a man affected by severe gall bladder disorder was hospitalized. Doctors advised him to go to a bigger hospital for an operation. The man was a non-believer of Reiki who used to condemn this divine art altogether as black magic. He did not have sleep and he could not take a little morsel of food all those days. I met him after fifteen days of his hospitalization. He had become emaciated and was struggling for life. When I observed him his aura was good and eyes were bright. So I started treating him on the hospital bed.

I cleansed the room first then the aura. Then I applied all the mantras. I gave Reiki profusely. That same evening he started taking food. Everyone was happy. The very next day the doctor examined him and to his astonishment his health had improved. He was discharged after two days. I again gave Reiki at his residence. He was so weak that his hands, head and legs underwent some epileptic-like movements. The very next day he was all right and started believing Reiki. He said "you are the God in this form who saved me". I thanked the guru and God. Ramachandran Ganesh

Reiki Helps the Body to Accept Transplanted Organs
I was asked to do Reiki for a woman who had her third liver transplant and whose immune system kept rejecting the organ. As always when I do Reiki I completely surrender myself and allow the divine energy to guide me. During this session I placed my hands on the woman's body close to her liver. The energy was pouring into the liver and she described the feeling as though the organ was totally immersed in vibration and warmth. She described it as if her body embraced the organ and accepted it with her own energy. I placed my hands over the immune system where the thymus is located. The woman experienced the same feeling here. I was guided to connect the immune system with the liver and then the energy was pouring clearly between the two. The woman described the feeling in the body as a harmonious embrace between the liver and the thymus.

This experience revealed to me that when we receive an organ donation, the energy vibrations are slightly different than ours and it becomes compatible when the foreign organ vibrates the same as the rest of the body. Dascha Friedl

Reiki and Pregnancy
Reiki does a lot of good for pregnant women. I can verify this by my own students. One of our members was attuned as a master just two weeks before giving birth. The baby girl was only 3.2 kg, but after just three weeks (or maybe four at the most), she can lift her head and is very smart too. She enjoys people playing with her and she always smiles. Her radiance is also different being bright and really lovable. Another one of our members was attuned to Reiki level one when she was two months pregnant (first pregnancy too). She gave birth without too much difficulty with just four hours of pain. And we have one more master due in 5 weeks. So far the mother feels very OK.

By the way, I have also attuned a lady to Reiki one and two when she was just two months pregnant. After the attunements, she almost stopped vomiting and even if she did once in a week, it was only very light, not with the retching like wanting to empty her whole intestines. So I say Reiki is good for pregnant women. John H. Ghozali

Reiki During Child Birth
I was interested to read your article about Reiki and pregnancy as I just had an amazing experience with Reiki at child birth. My daughter-in -law, Nela was taken into hospital the 27th of October when her water broke. Very little else happened and they wanted to induce labor which she definitely didn't want. She rang me from the hospital and I offered to go down and help.

We arrived at 6 o'clock that evening. My partner and I both put our hands on her abdomen and she went into labor! I gave her Reiki treatments at regular intervals during the night. The baby eventually showed signs of distress as the mother was unable to push. At this point a suction cup was used and the baby arrived weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces. I gave him an auric massage and lots of Reiki especially just above his head. He was very sleepy the next day. He is now very alert for 5 weeks and thriving. My son, a complete skeptic, says that the onset of labor and the Reiki hands-on is pure coincidence! I am convinced that is not the case. Jenny Pearson-Snape

Reiki and Aortic Aneurysm
While driving home from work with my husband he started to get abdominal pain. I offered to take him back to the hospital; where I work, in Boston but he thought the pain would subside by the time we got home in New Hampshire. Well, the pain became severe. While driving home, I gave him Reiki. The pain would get a little better then get worse. By the time we got home he finally agreed to go to the hospital.

I was giving him Reiki the whole time we were in the emergency room. He had been bleeding for five hours; from the time the symptoms first started to the time he went into the operating room. The surgeon told me it would take four hours for surgery and one hour in the recovery room.

Two hours later I saw the surgeon with my husband on their way to ICU. She told me everything went smoothly and she finished very quickly. I said, "Of course it went smoothly, I was doing Reiki for him the whole time." She told me most people die from this. When we go for his follow-up appointments, they call him a legend. I know it was the Reiki that kept him alive along with a very skilled surgeon. Barbara Costa

Reiki and Cancer
I am a Reiki master in India and give Reiki I and II attunements, holding two-day sessions for each, and enjoy doing it thoroughly. I also treat patients for a variety of problems. Teen counseling has been a great success, and with Reiki I have been able to help quite a few teenagers.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I am called many times to help terminally ill cancer patients going through chemotherapy. In all cases, the patient has a very smooth transition without the side effects of the chemotherapy. Even the doctors were totally taken aback to see the patient so cheerful and happy and not having side effects.

When a three-day passing time was given to a leukemia patient, she survived for thirty-seven days without any suffering and passed away peacefully with a smile on her face. I think this is a great achievement. Reiki made it possible. Thank you. With Love, Light and Reiki...... Bhanumathi Venkatraman

Reiki Heals Rash
A very good friend came to visit who I have been hoping would take advantage of receiving Reiki from me. To that point she had remained skeptical. One day she had a horrible rash on her right arm which she normally sees a dermatologist to get a soothing cream to treat the rash. I gave her about 10 minutes of Reiki. She noticed immediately the arm that had been very hot was cool to the touch. She told me later that night she had some "tingling" but no horrible itch as she had before. By the next morning all symptoms were gone. She did not call her doctor for a new prescription of the cream because she no longer needed it! Kate McDaniel

Reiki Heals Bad Energy
I work outdoors. The guys I work with can be pretty rough on your ego, to say the least. It doesn't help I am the new guy on the crew. Recently, I had a run-in with a fellow worker. That night I had trouble sleeping. I could not quit thinking about the incident. I was angry and hurt. I started to meditate. I used the counter-clockwise power symbol to disperse the feelings of anguish. Much to my surprise it worked. I now sometimes use the power symbol to disperse "bad" energy before it can gain momentum. I have also used it to disperse a patch of eczema on my forehead. Thanks, Steve Ingvarsson

Reiki and Massage
I have two little boys ages three and four and; if that's not enough, I also handcraft soaps. To get stress relief, I get a massage every three weeks on a regular basis. My massage therapist and I have become close friends and we went together for Reiki training. After we received our training, she would give me Reiki treatments along with my massage. The massages were wonderful and were very relaxing and alleviate much of the day-to-day build-up of stress. When she started to give me Reiki treatments - what a difference! I felt like I could handle any of life's problems that came along. It was an experience not only of being massaged, but a truly life-altering experience.

A short time ago, she moved her practice to a town about an hour's drive from me. It has been very difficult to get to her place. I went to a different massage therapist and although she was very good at what she did I did not feel the connection I felt with my friend. I think the Reiki made the difference in getting a "good" massage and a wonderful feeling of total mind, body and soul tune-up. I believe that the Reiki training I received (I and II) has made me a more intuitive person in terms of being in touch with the different "vibes" people put out. I was told at a Reiki Share that I was becoming a more intuitive person.

My family, friends and others have commented I seem so much more relaxed and less anxiety-ridden. Doctors tried to put me on Prozac and other anti-depressants but my body rejected this as a viable way to deal with LIFE! Anyway, those are my thoughts on Reiki and what it has done for me. Thanks...Sally Paduch

Distance Healing and Kidney Stones

I had just recently completed the master level and while I believe in distant healing I had not had any experiences to strengthen the belief. I would read the stories here and think how wonderful but nothing much seemed to happen when I practiced distant Reiki.

My father had been rushed to the hospital in extreme pain and was throwing up because the pain was so bad. He had trouble breathing and went to hospital right away and had tests done quickly. He had a kidney stone. They gave him very strong pain-killers and he had a test done which found the blockage. I spent about a half-hour sending distant Reiki.

I really got creative and imagined I painted his kidney area with white healing light. I remembered how particular my Dad is while painting and the way he liked the strokes to be done. This usually bothered me but now I chuckled and said, "Okay Dad" and proceeded in my mind to paint the way Dad liked it! I scanned and found two stones. One was larger than the other. I blasted them into dust and again painted white light. I used some symbols and surrounded my Dad in violet light and spun it around him. When I was finished I somehow knew it had really done some good.

About three hours later my mother called and said they took him for a more precise test and could no longer find any blockages. They thought he must have passed the stone. They had not given him any straining bottle so could not verify it. My Dad is quite sure he did not pass anything. He returned home that night. They gave him lots of pain-killers and he did not need to take any. He was back to work the next day. My Dad had still been on the fence about this whole "Reiki thing of mine" but he is quite a bit more intrigued now! Wendy Matthews, Ottawa

Reiki and Alzheimer's
I am a Reiki master teacher but between the Level II and III initiation I was asked to do Reiki on a woman at church. She was diagnosed, at age 48, with Alzheimer's. I gave her treatments every week for a full year and really noticed very little difference in her behavior until one day.

In a moment of frustration, I silently said a prayer asking how long I was to continue my visits. I looked across the room and a book was open. When I finished the session, I asked my client if she was reading it. She proceeded to tell me all about the contents. This was a woman who, up to this time, could not even be left alone for a moment. She had round-the-clock home care and her husband was told she should be institutionalized. That was just the beginning of a wonderful miracle.

I continued to treat her every week for another five months. Every week she seemed to improve substantially. She began cooking meals again and eventually was given permission to drive. She had two documented reviews by twelve top neurologists in Boston and no reason could be found for her recovery. She was eventually re-diagnosed as having Picks Disease (no brain activity in her frontal lobes) and now functioned in a normal environment (brain waves were active). She eventually became one of my Reiki students and is now a level II practitioner, helping me every month in a free Reiki clinic in our community. Her sister, a hospice/palliative care RN also took Reiki I and II initiation, and the two are positively great advocates of what Reiki love is all about. I am proud to call them both my dear friends. Reiki and Animals
I enjoyed reading the November Reiki story of the Indian woman who Reiki'd a wild bird back to health. I have personally seen Reiki give freedom to two different animals in two entirely different ways.

One day a crow flew into one of our windows and lay on the ground unable to move and breathing very hard. I instantly started to give Reiki asking for the highest good for the animal. After three minutes of Reiki the bird started to move a bit and the heavy breathing looked like it was leveling off. Then the bird suddenly rolled over onto its feet, looked up at me, gave me a chirp and flew away as if nothing had happened.

On another occasion my daughter's pet white mouse had apparently reached the end of its life span. It had developed a tumor near the eye. This poor little mouse was hanging on and hanging on and my daughter was so sad. I was giving Reiki everyday for the healing of this animal. Then one night I thought I should offer the Reiki for the highest good only and not specify healing. Well, I supposed the mouse was holding on perhaps because my daughter was putting out so much desperate energy for it to live.

Once it received the Reiki for its highest good we found the mouse had transitioned during the night. In both cases of the mouse and the crow, Reiki for the highest good is what gave freedom to the animal. I learned a very important lesson with this and now am non-specific when offering Reiki. I offer always and only for the highest good. Rev. Kay Brewer

Passing Over Peacefully
A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Throughout her illness she refused all pain relief. I treated her regularly with another Reiki master and this kept her pain at bay.

Eventually she was overcome and she was rushed into hospital. Her daughter telephoned me and said my friend was thrashing around in pain and was very agitated and scared. I immediately phoned the friend who had been treating her with Reiki, alongside myself, and headed for the hospital.

On arrival we were shocked to see how much pain she was in. She had once again refused morphine. We put our hands on her immediately and within a few minutes the change in her was remarkable. She become still and calm and her pain vanished. She was just about able to speak, the cancer had gone to her throat, and she said her late husband was standing behind me. The look on her face was one of immense joy and I have no doubt she was seeing him at this time.

My friend had always been very scared of dying but as the end got nearer it was obvious to all in the room her fear was gone. We carried on giving her Reiki right up until she passed over. She was conscious all the time but her passing was peaceful and pain free.

I have given Reiki treatments many times but this experience will always be with me. To have been able to help another soul to pass over without pain and fear was a truly wonderful and
amazing experience. Patricia Thomas

Reiki & Grandchildren
My eight year old grandson received a burn on the anticubital area of his right arm. When it healed, the scar tissue kept him from extending his arm completely. As he is active in sports, this was a hindrance.

I went through my Reiki I, II and III training several years after his injury, and used it frequently for his minor aches and pains. It always calmed him down whenever he was in the frantic state of an over-tired child. It was a routine for him. If he hurt himself, he would ask me to "do Reiki on him".

His mother scheduled his surgery at the local Shriner's hospital to correct the scar tissue, and he requested I come to his house the night before to "do Reiki" and to the hospital to "do Reiki"
before the surgery. He was calm and unafraid as he went into the operating room.

When he woke up in the recovery room he insisted I come back and "do more Reiki". I'm pleased to say he recovered from the anesthetic quite well with no nausea or after-effects. His arm healed quite fast with no complications.

Since then when his little brother falls and gets an "owie" he comes to me for Reiki. My daughter-in-law is also quite shocked, as I am the only one who can hold him until he goes to sleep. With anyone else he must be in a completely darkened room. He climbs up in my lap, and it's "night-night".

These two small beings are a wonderful example of how children can grow up with an acceptance of something unseen. They simply accept Reiki as an everyday thing that can be used to help themselves and others. Kim Sakamoto

Witness to a Miraculous Healing
I have been involved with Reiki for five years now. A small group of us in northern Ontario meet on a regular basis to share Reiki. There have been some amazing healings in the past several years. We are continually working on each other. We are a small group. Often we connect with another group from a community north of us. There is a woman in our group who has had the most amazing healing.

She was scheduled for surgery to have her hemorrhoids removed. I dropped her off at the hospital and wished her well and the next thing I know she was home. With great delight she told me there was nothing there. The doctors were amazed.

Almost a year later she twisted her back. We called an ambulance. The hospital pumped her up with pain-killers and muscle-relaxants and sent her home. She was pretty sore for a week or two and she could hardly move around. The Reiki group was sending healing energies to her and helping her around her cabin. She went to a chiropractor and after X-rays were taken, the chiropractor said if he did not know her he would swear he was looking at an x-ray that belonged to a very healthy 20 year old. So again with much delight she is having some kind of reversal, her body is becoming smaller and all her ailments are disappearing.

After a Shiatsu massage the therapist said she had a body of a physically fit teenager. This is a woman who lives Reiki and everything she does has purpose and meaning. I am a counselor for abused women. I have watched the transformation in this woman over the past few years. I know there will be more to share about this person and her healing journey. I would like to thank all Reiki people for the tremendous amount of energy we flow through us to help make this a better place to be. Namaste, Linda Smith-Hayes
