Reiki and Hip Replacement Surgery
I fell on a slippery floor in 2000 and sustained a fractured left hip. I was rushed to the emergency department and after confirmation by X-ray I was told I needed to have hip replacement surgery. This was done the following day. I must say that at the time I was a Level II Reiki practitioner. I used the symbols and applied the technique during the time prior to and after surgery. My recovery was painless and back at home in three days. I was on my feet moving initially with a walker then a cane and later free-hand in the space of two weeks.

In the space of six weeks no one was able to tell I had had surgery. I was back to work whole again. I am almost seventy years and still very active at work. People who were not aware of my accident are surprised when anything is mentioned about it. Thanks to Reiki.

I have since participated in the advanced level and find it emotionally and physically comforting. Marina

Premature Baby Healed
My daughter was born six weeks premature at Kaiser Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1974. At birth she had meconium aspiration syndrome, a condition that in its worst form strikes one or two of 1,000 babies each year nationwide.

The doctor looked at the x-rays and found only a small space in her brain the size of a fingertip that was not damaged. The doctor said we should get a priest because he didn't think she was going to survive.

I began praying and sat down holding her and I put my hand on her head. I knew where the seizure activity was. I did the same thing a couple of times more knowing inside me that each time the pain was lessening. I just considered it a mother's love for ages.

I noticed a class on Reiki in San Antonio, I thought, "Well it comes from Japan then Hawaii, and so did I with my healing, so I'll take the class and find words and structure for healing." Years later, Makamae is now doing reflexology treatments on clients.

Only in the last few years have I found others I could talk to. I teach Reiki now and I love teaching. My students; many of them nurses tell me "my grandmother does that or this". It's all the same in thought, from the heart, just different in form as each different culture expresses. I can't say THANK YOU enough for all of you being here and there. Enlarged Kidney Healed
My grandson was recently born with an enlarged kidney. The ultrasound showed the enlargement. After he was born they did another ultrasound and it showed it was still enlarged. Being your typical Grandpa every time I held Cameron I gave him Reiki. His Mom and I took him to the Pediatric Urologist. The enlargement was not that severe however the doctor wanted another test run. They took some more pictures only they inserted a catheter this time. They were afraid of reflux. The best case would be it would need to be monitored and require an
ultra-sound every three months. The afternoon following the test Cameron had an appointment to discuss the test results. The doctor couldn't find a trace of the enlargement. He said he had never seen this problem clear itself up so quickly. Namaste Ya'll Jeff Lutz

Healing Pain and other conditions
In July I fell in a bus due to the driver applying the break all of a sudden and some chap literally fell on my neck and back. I could not Reiki my neck and back though I tried in the bus but the pain kept shifting. The next day a thought struck me that since I feel vibrations going upwards from the center of my palms why do I not utilize them for my own healing.

So while lying down on my back I put my hands outstretched palms and when the vibrations started I asked them to take the pain out from my neck region. Suddenly there was strange pain in my neck and the pain was literally pulled out with a tearing sensation. Then I turned on my stomach and asked the
vibrations to pull out the pain from the back of the neck and upper back region and the same thing happened. Pain came out with a tearing sensation.

Later I narrated this incident to my Reiki master who told me that higher energy levels are made available to those whom god chooses and I should go on accepting and practicing what comes down to me. There is a lot to learn. Since I start off with Reiki this is a higher Reiki vibration level can be accessed through Reiki.

In another healing experience, my younger sister in Dharmshala, India, had sprained her lower back and I sent her Reiki through distant healing. When I spoke to her on the phone she described the feeling as if I had lit a huge fire on her back. She has no pain now and had received Reiki for her throat ailment her stomach ailment and her knees also. Reiki is intelligent, it knows were to go, as I had not sought to direct it to the knees. She also had some foul smell leaving her nostrils. Some real bad negativity seems to have been removed.

Some months back I had a number of cuts on my fingers due to usage of sharp knives. I had read somewhere that Dr. Usui could heal six patients at a time. Using hands, feet, eyes, thought (heart) and breath. I thought why not experiment. So I made the power symbol with my tongue on the roof of the mouth and opened my mouth in an 'o' form and exhaled the Reiki warm air onto my finger. I kept doing this with the emotional/mental symbol and the power symbol. Before my eyes the bleeding from my fingers stopped and the skin grew back in place and in the evening even I could not tell where the cuts were. No hard covering of the skin was formed. Renu

Reiki Heals Heart Burn and Neck Pain
Something had been nudging me to try Reiki for a long time. I had a spiritual reading in January 2004 that was just great. My reader is also a Reiki master. In August I had a Reiki treatment.

During the session I could feel the intense heat coming from her hands even when she wasn't touching me. I saw many lovely colors swirling around and melting into each other. We chatted about chakras and blockages. She said I had a small blockage at my throat chakra and a more significant one at my belly.

Prior to treatment I had experienced severe heartburn on a daily basis. I suspected acid reflux. For at least a week after the treatment I had no heartburn at all! I tested this by eating spicy foods and still nothing all week.

I had also had neck/back/shoulder pain with accompanying headaches and was popping Motrin daily prior to the session. For about two weeks after the session I had total flexibility in my neck, shoulders and back and no headaches!

My stress level had also decreased significantly. I was able to take things in stride; did I mention I am a mother of 2 young children whose sole purpose is to aggravate each other and mommy, and handle things calmly as they came.

I am excited to report that I will be taking the Reiki Level One class Sunday. I cannot wait to see what comes next. Level two is in November. This is so incredible. I look forward to this new journey in my life! Kelly Bradway

Reiki Helps Find Job
My daughter and I are both Reiki II healers. Next week we will attend the Reiki III class. For seven years my daughter tried to move upwards in her job but made very little progress. As well as the stress at work she had started losing a lot of hair in patches, going thin and pale, and looking undernourished. This year we joined the Reiki classes and gave Reiki to a few interviews she would be attending. Thanks to her Reiki guide she was given the job on the spot with a pay increase as well.

The interviewer said that this was the third time in a long while that she has employed anyone on the spot. I can see now my daughter looks relaxed because the place of work is not far and she finds the staff very friendly too. We shall be giving Reiki to her workplace once a week to keep the environment peaceful and prosperous. Suresh

Dental Experience
I had an awesome experience at the dentist in July. I was having 5 fillings and I sent distant Reiki to the time when I would have completed my procedure and asked that the anesthetic be used for only as long as my body needed it. I also asked for the Reiki energy to be with me in whatever capacity it was needed to enable a positive experience for my body. I actually fell asleep through the procedure and the dentist was shocked! The after-effects were minimal. I was able to have a hot cup of tea an hour and a half after the completion of the procedure.

My dentist was amazed but still could not get a handle on the Reiki energy. She said her scientific mind could not comprehend. For sure, it was a very positive experience for me. Reiki light and love, Val Goodrow

Dog Healed with Reiki
Reiki saved our dog's life. One day when I called my dog, a 13 year-old Lhasa Apso she didn't respond. Kringle was very healthy up to this point. When I looked outside my door she was waiting for me but could not get up.

She had become paralyzed in the hind legs and was in shock. Our visit to the vet didn't give much hope so we brought her home. After two days she hadn't eaten and was unable to stand by herself. She could urinate but could not have a bowel movement. So things looked badly.

I did Reiki on her and after a while she wasn't moving but she ate a full plate of food. To make a long story short she went from wearing baby diapers because she couldn't control her bladder to learning to walk.

Now two years later she is still with us and is a very happy puppy and has brought such joy to our lives. Reiki helped Kringle and her quality of life is so good we are grateful. Barbara

Reborn Goldfish
I had been practicing Reiki for only a few weeks when one of our goldfish jumped out of the tank. We didn't have a lid on the tank and the tank was somewhat over-full, so I guess 'Mr. Fishy' was feeling frisky and took a leap into the unknown. My mom discovered Mr. Fishy lying on the floor, and tried to give him
CPR (picture that, if you can!) and then she gently put him back into the tank.

He was not well at all just lying there at the bottom on the gravel in obvious distress. Mom said that he felt a bit dry when she picked him up, so she did not think he would survive. I Reiki'd him by placing my hands on the sides of the tank for about ten minutes. Well, not only did he recover, he completely changed color, from being a gold and black to a pure white fish! He also lived another four years and grew to a length of about eight inches. We still joke about our 'reborn fish'! Christine Price

Reiki On Inanimate Objects
A friend of mine is a network supervisor. Even after work hours he is on call most of the time. Whenever a problem occurs in the network he gets paged. I was taking him shopping and he got paged because all servers went offline in the space of 30 minutes. He was freaking out, but from behind him I sent the power symbol to his computer that was now logged on to the errant network, and whispered, 'all systems normal'. Suddenly all servers were up and running. He could not understand what happened and after calling all his other colleagues who had access to the network, found that no one else had logged on.
