Finding Your Soulmate with Reiki

Long before you incarnate again on Earth, you talk over your new life with your friends and guides in the realms of light. Because souls always come down as a team, it is necessary to adjust to each other's needs and wishes to create the best process in which to learn and to solve and to heal problems and karma. This kind of group is called a "soul family." During your next life on Earth, you will meet these people as friends, neighbors, lovers, colleagues, children, parents and other relatives, schoolmates, teachers, and spouses. Some members of this group may appear as spiritual teachers, medical doctors, or psychotherapists. Sometimes the time you have together is very short-but if the person is a member of your soul family, it will be a precious or otherwise important experience for you.

A soul mate is someone who belongs to your soul family of a given incarnation and is closely related to your path-much more closely then the others. A soul mate may appear as a close friend. In this case, your friendship will endure even long periods of time when you cannot meet or talk to each other. As soon as you come together again, you will find that everything is like it had been before. The resonance between the both of you is so strong that space and time cannot interfere. A soul mate may appear as your child, teacher, or spouse. The relationship between soul mates is a very special relationship full of deep understanding and closeness.

A dual soul is even more special, but also more seldom encountered than soul mates. The regular members of your soul family will be around you in one way or another during your life. But if you don't accept what you really are, if you try with all your strength to live the life of another, a life according to the standards of other people, then the members of your soul family will not be close to you. They belong to your path-if you don't walk it, you cannot share your life with them directly. If you don't walk your path, life is frustrating: nobody seems to understand you, nobody seems to care about you, nobody seems to love you. Away from your spiritual path, people cannot understand you because the resonance of your soul to theirs is too low. You are not kin, not meant to be close together-at least in this lifetime.

The closer you keep to your spiritual path, the stronger your relationships with the members of your soul family will be. Once you are on your spiritual path, life becomes easier and more satisfying. It becomes much easier for you to open your heart to these other people, because their heart is open to you. If you move still closer to your spiritual vision-or if you do it for a certain time-you will also meet soul mates. With these people, understanding and sharing is even better than with your soul family.

You might marry one of the soul mates or a member of your soul family who is not that close to you. The relationship will probably not be bad, but it will not really be fulfilling. You will, after a while, feel that something is missing. It is neither your fault nor your partner's fault. You could even stay together happily for the rest of your life. But you will miss something of enormous importance, a kind of love you cannot define, explain, or really communicate. But if you experience it, you will know-there is a paradise on this earth!

To meet a dual soul, you need to be very close to your path, very resonant with the divine, very much conscious about what you really are. Most people need years or even decades to reach that state. During this time, they often marry or establish another kind of stable loving relationship with someone. Because they chose a partner for a long-term relationship while in a state of low resonance with their path, their wife or husband often does not belong to the person's soul family at all, is a normal member of the soul family, or is, at best, a soul mate.

But what if you then meet your dual soul? This is why many people who start to walk the spiritual path decide to end their present relationship after a couple of years or when they have made significant progress with their personal development. If this is so, the end should be made as harmonious as possible, because it's nobody's fault, from a spiritual point of view.

But please think and meditate seriously about that kind of step! You should not part with your husband or wife out of a spontaneous rise of emotion, because you think it will be easier with another partner, or because you think that everything you suffer from is your partner's fault. Also, if you meet someone new, take your time to find out about the truth of this relationship before you step into something that might be very difficult. Consulting an oracle or attending a couple of spiritual counseling sessions will help you to find out what is right and what is wrong for you at the given time.

Keep in mind that if, after having analyzed your situation in depth from a spiritual point of view, you find that you met a dual soul, you will never forgive yourself if you don't relate to him or her.

Treating the Neck and Head by William Lee Rand

Here is a technique I learned at the Reiki retreat. It's for treating the neck and head and is especially good for helping people wake up or become more present. It is also good for any condition involving energy flow in the neck or head including headaches.

1. Stand or sit in front of the person.
2. Place your hands on the sides of the neck with the fingers wrapping around to the back of the neck, fingers touching.
3. Straight Reiki can by used or you can add the mental/emotional symbol, power symbol or any other symbols you think will help.
4. Treat for 5-10 minutes or as long as you feel the energy flowing.
5. Treat yourself by crossing your arms over your chest and placing your right hand on the left side of your neck and your left hand on the right with thumbs in front of the ears and fingers touching in back of the neck.

Reiki and Prayer

While not all Reiki practitioners believe in the power of prayer and prayer is not necessary to use Reiki, it's important that we consider possible ways to improve the help and healing provided by our work with Reiki. Hopefully, this information will be beneficial to you.

While Reiki is not religious, many who practice Reiki are and being inspired by their religious beliefs, add prayer to their treatments and feel this is beneficial. They feel that prayers strengthen their Reiki energy and also add additional beneficial factors to the healing process including receiving help from spiritual beings and God.

A recent study found that 45 percent of adults pray for health reasons. In addition, there have been over 10 scientific research studies in the past several years in the area of prayer and health. These include studies by the Mind/Body Medical Institute, Duke University, University of Washington, California Pacific Medical Center and others. The Byrd and Harris studies are well known for their positive results along with the work of the late Dr. Elizabeth Targ and Daniel Wirth. A soon to be published study by Dr. Herbert Benson which was carried out with rigorous methods will also be interesting to see.

So does this research give us any ideas on how to pray for the best results? The studies done by the Spin Drift group in which prayer was studied for its effects on plants (which are not affected by the placebo affect) indicate that praying for a non-specific beneficial result is the most powerful. In other words, rather than praying that a person will be cured of cancer, simply praying that the highest good will be accomplished for them will produce the greatest health benefit.

So with this in mind, what kind of prayers might be useful to include with Reiki treatments. Here are a few possiblities: "I pray that the greatest plan for this person's health that Reiki can conceive of be fully manifest now" or "May the greatest benefit be received by my client now" or "May my client be blessed by the greatest love and healing power possible." Or you could be inspired to create a prayer similar to these.

Reiki and Hip Replacement Surgery
I fell on a slippery floor in 2000 and sustained a fractured left hip. I was rushed to the emergency department and after confirmation by X-ray I was told I needed to have hip replacement surgery. This was done the following day. I must say that at the time I was a Level II Reiki practitioner. I used the symbols and applied the technique during the time prior to and after surgery. My recovery was painless and back at home in three days. I was on my feet moving initially with a walker then a cane and later free-hand in the space of two weeks.

In the space of six weeks no one was able to tell I had had surgery. I was back to work whole again. I am almost seventy years and still very active at work. People who were not aware of my accident are surprised when anything is mentioned about it. Thanks to Reiki.

I have since participated in the advanced level and find it emotionally and physically comforting. Marina

Premature Baby Healed
My daughter was born six weeks premature at Kaiser Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1974. At birth she had meconium aspiration syndrome, a condition that in its worst form strikes one or two of 1,000 babies each year nationwide.

The doctor looked at the x-rays and found only a small space in her brain the size of a fingertip that was not damaged. The doctor said we should get a priest because he didn't think she was going to survive.

I began praying and sat down holding her and I put my hand on her head. I knew where the seizure activity was. I did the same thing a couple of times more knowing inside me that each time the pain was lessening. I just considered it a mother's love for ages.

I noticed a class on Reiki in San Antonio, I thought, "Well it comes from Japan then Hawaii, and so did I with my healing, so I'll take the class and find words and structure for healing." Years later, Makamae is now doing reflexology treatments on clients.

Only in the last few years have I found others I could talk to. I teach Reiki now and I love teaching. My students; many of them nurses tell me "my grandmother does that or this". It's all the same in thought, from the heart, just different in form as each different culture expresses. I can't say THANK YOU enough for all of you being here and there. Enlarged Kidney Healed
My grandson was recently born with an enlarged kidney. The ultrasound showed the enlargement. After he was born they did another ultrasound and it showed it was still enlarged. Being your typical Grandpa every time I held Cameron I gave him Reiki. His Mom and I took him to the Pediatric Urologist. The enlargement was not that severe however the doctor wanted another test run. They took some more pictures only they inserted a catheter this time. They were afraid of reflux. The best case would be it would need to be monitored and require an
ultra-sound every three months. The afternoon following the test Cameron had an appointment to discuss the test results. The doctor couldn't find a trace of the enlargement. He said he had never seen this problem clear itself up so quickly. Namaste Ya'll Jeff Lutz
