Spring
Clean your Life with Reiki

excerpt from an article in the spring issue of the Reiki
News Magazine. At this time of year, it is traditional to do some spring
housecleaning to get rid of the old and make way for the new, to get ready for
the brighter days of spring. This is a good idea on an energetic level as well
as a practical level. However, maybe it is also a good time to start a regular
practice of cleansing and energetic protection of yourself, your home and workplace,
and your life in general. Why Is Energetic Protection and Cleansing Important?
Whatever level of Reiki you have, it is really important to include a
regular energy cleansing routine in your self healing, whether you intend to use
Reiki on other people or not. As I have explained in previous articles, everything
is energy, and energies can have negative, positive, or neutral vibrations. Being
attuned to Reiki raises your body's vibrations. As the energetic oscillations
become faster, this makes your whole energy field lighter and less dense, and
you gradually become more and more "enlightened." This not only increases
your spiritual awareness, but also means that your whole energy field becomes
more permeable, and therefore more vulnerable to denser energies, which are attracted
to the light. This happens because as your energies become lighter and vibrate
faster, there is more "space" between the energy molecules, which the
denser, negative energies attempt to fill. As an analogy, imagine placing pebbles
in a bowl until it appears to be completely filled. If you poured water into the
bowl, the water would occupy the space between the pebbles. Negative energy from
outside sources can clog your energy field, just as the water did the pebbles.
Because this could manifest as illness, it is essential to cleanse your entire
energy field regularly. These outside sources of negative energy are many
and varied, and they can be physical energy, mental or thought energy, emotional
energy, or spiritual energy. Newspapers, TV, radio, and films often have sad,
disturbing, or horrific images and words that can negatively impact our energy
fields, so it is important to be discriminating about what you read, watch, or
listen to. Far better to be uplifted by beautiful music or happy, fun programs
than to be dragged down by horror films or the negative stuff which is usually
presented as "news." Energy disturbances or blockages in other people's
energy fields, such as negative thoughts and emotions or physical or mental illness
can also impact us. Our energies can be lowered when we spend time with negative
people. Places can impact on our energies, especially if we spend time where negative
energy can collect, such as shopping centers, city streets, offices and other
workplaces, doctors' surgeries, hospitals, and even our own home or homes belonging
to friends and family. It would be a rare home indeed that was untouched by conflict
or argument or sorrow, and such mental and emotional energy can hang around for
quite a long time.
Essentially, your beautiful, sparkling, clear, and
"enlightened" energy body can act like a sponge, mopping up the negative
energy soup around you on a daily basis. Not exactly a happy thought, is it? That's
why in this article I am going to give you some techniques to protect yourself
from such negative energies, as well as a range of methods for clearing and cleansing
your whole energy body.
Energetic Protection
The first thing to
do is to develop the habit of protecting yourself energetically every day, which
doesn't have to be complicated. You can use your thought energy (which is very
powerful) to visualize protective barriers around you, and of course you can use
Reiki, with or without the symbols. A sensible way to use these methods is to
carry out one or more of them every morning, especially before leaving home. You
can also use them at any time you feel particularly threatened, such as when going
into some stressful situation or having to deal with very negative people.
* Imagine yourself in a bubble or eggshell of white or golden light that is filled
with Reiki, and intend that the edges of the bubble are permeable only by love,
light, Reiki, and positive energies. As a second stage to this method, you can
also imagine and intend that it is closely surrounded by a fine mesh made of gold,
and that this mesh is only permeable by love, light, Reiki, and positive energies.
* If you ever feel really threatened, then do all of the above. Then, outside
your bubble imagine and intend that there is a ring of fire, and outside that
imagine and intend there is a shiny shell made of mirror or silver or gold, with
the mirrored/shiny side facing outwards. This effectively forms an energetic boundary
around you, so that any negative energy sent your way will rebound back to its
source.
* If you know the Reiki symbols, draw a Power symbol on each palm,
saying its mantra three times, and then stroke and smooth as much of your aura
as possible with your palms (about 15 cm. or 6 in. away from your body), intending
that the Reiki flow into your aura above, below, and on all sides of you, to provide
a protective shield against any negative energies.
* Another beneficial way
to use the Power symbol is to draw it large in front of you and step into it,
saying its mantra three times. Imagine being wrapped inside the Power symbol so
that it is in front, behind, and each side of you, and intend that the Reiki protect
you from any negativity or harm. More on this subject:

Healing
You can use the pictures of the grids to send distant Reiki to
them which will charge them for world peace. To do this, just place them in front
of you or hold them in your hands, draw the Reiki distant symbol over them and
intend that they be charged with Reiki. You can also add the Reiki power and mental/emotional
symbols as you send Reiki to them. This will charge them with Reiki energy which
will build up a reservoir of healing, peaceful energy which will be available
for anyone who is working to promote world peace. Also, as you send healing, you'll
be merging with this reservoir and receive peaceful energy too. Practice
this meditation daily and not only will you be promoting world peace, but your
life will become more peaceful too.

Paralyzed
Speech Healed
A medical practitioner that had a severe heart attack 5 years
back ended up with his left side paralyzed. With repeated physical therapy he
can now walk a little bit. His tongue is also partially paralyzed so his speech
is not clear. His wife requested I start giving him Reiki with the aim to get
his speech clear. On the seventh day I got feed back from his wife that his voice
is becoming clear and his behavior has become quite decent. I talked to him over
the phone and found that his speech has become almost clear and he is quite happy
to find this improvement. Though he does not have faith in Reiki yet he wanted
me to continue. I feel this is a miracle. God is great. Subhash Kanti Bose Reiki
Heals Lump In Breast
I am a second degree Reiki practitioner and my sister
trained me. I have seen so many miracles in the time I have been certified that
I truly believe in Reiki. I have always felt a calling, if you will, to something
greater than just the 'day-to day' understanding. I have taken all of the steps
and even read your e-mail regarding your condition, William. Prior to Reiki
I had taken some tests, a mammogram, and then a sonogram. The findings were a
lump in my left breast and they wanted me to go for an MRI. In the interim my
sister invited me up to a training class for Reiki that she was giving which I
graciously accepted as I was grasping at hope and my faith was all but a fading
light on a burnt out candle. I went and had an intensive 3-day training in Reiki
1 & 2 and passed! She does put me through the grinders you know, little sister
and all! I came home glowing! I felt so complete and together! Nothing could drag
me down! I went for the MRI and continued the self-Reiki and MAP sessions
that I was taught. Two weeks after the MRI I finally called for answers and was
told that there were no unusual tissues, no masses and no lumps in either breast
and that all was clean and negative! I am so grateful. I have the ability
to help my self and others through Reiki and I intend to make it a very intimate
and necessary part of my life! I am so glad I have taken the steps to a more spiritual,
universal and healing future. Thank you and most of all thanks to my sister, Jeanne

I passed my bachelor degree in Dentistry
June 2003 and I am doing my internship in City Dental College, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I got the opportunity to learn Reiki about a year back. Since then I've been practicing
Reiki with my daily dental practice. During my placement in the Department
of Oral Surgery and Anesthesiology I received a most unexpected but fruitful outcome
with Reiki. One of the most fascinating is while I was extracting a lower 3rd
molar. I was heading for my department and on the way I saw a middle-aged
woman with a pitiful face with her hand over her left cheek. After entering the
room one of the clerks introduced me to her. She is about 40 years old. She is
a poor lady who makes her living by washing clothes and she had come far away
from Dhaka just for the treatment of her toothache. I examined her intra-orally
and found she had a badly broken and tender lower left 3rd molar with much of
the crown broken. I suggested for an X-ray but the local anesthesia did not work
properly due to the acidic pH of pus. In this case there was no complaint of pain
and the badly broken tooth came out easily with out any bone removal or tooth
sectioning. I then curetted and irrigated the socket thoroughly and gave
her a cotton pack. She was still cooperative, calm and over-all satisfied. Just
then, my head of department arrived and even he was surprised to see such a tooth
that came out so easily. She left with blessings and gratitude. I gave her few
analgesics but I could not give her antibiotics. That night I sent Reiki
through distant healing technique. The patient came to meet me after a few weeks
and unexpectedly she was completely well and she told me that she didn't even
have to use the analgesics I gave her. Though she was poor, she gave me one of
the most expensive gifts a patient could ever give to a doctor, her satisfaction
and gratitude. Dr.Bibek Nakarmi Reiki Heals Flu
I had a wonderful
experience sending long distance Reiki to a friend in Florida. She thought she
had the flu. When I was going over her throat chakra, I got two messages. I was
told by guidance that the reason she was sick was because she was thinking of
family loss. I was also told that she needed to journal her feelings about it
or verbalize them to her boyfriend. This was very powerful information thru the
Reiki experience. I got the reason for the illness and the remedy to heal her
self. When I told her the information I had gotten, it clicked with her. She began
verbalizing her feelings towards her loss to her boyfriend. She instantly started
feeling better on an emotional and physical level. I was very grateful for this

A lady of 57 years and suffering from insomnia for 13 years
learned Reiki One. After a week she phoned me and told me she started sleeping
better without medicine. A man of 60 years learned Reiki One who had insomnia
for the last 30 years. After 2 weeks he called me and told me he was feeling fresh
during the day and after 2 weeks started sleeping better and wants to learn Reiki

Brahmbhatt My Daughter's Migraine
I am a Reiki Master and a couple
of months ago my daughter came down with an unbearable migraine. Unfortunately
we had run out of her prescription migraine medicine. So I ran to the drugstore
to get it refilled. By the time I got home her migraine was full-blown. Her eyes
were slightly crossed and unfocused. Her speech was slurred. She felt nauseous.
I gave her medicine and told her to lie down on the floor on a couch mattress.
About 45 minutes later the migraine had not let up as she had taken her
medicine too late. I felt so helpless. I too used to get unbearable migraines
and often had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. I couldn't bear to see
her suffer so! Then she asked me to put my hands on her head. I activated the
power symbol and said a prayer to my guides and helpers. I imagined healing energy
pouring from my hands into her head. About 20 minutes later she asked me to put
my hands on her tummy, which still felt queasy, but her headache had diminished.
I thought it was probably because her meds had finally kicked in. About
ten minutes later her migraine kicked in again and she asked me to put my hands
on her head again. I did so and very shortly afterwards she said her migraine
was completely gone! She was able to roll over and slip into a peaceful sleep
after giving me a big hug. I then realized that I was an effective channel for
the Reiki energy after all and I felt deeply humbled and filled with gratitude.

I got
a call from my 22-year-old daughter early one morning. She could barely talk and
was doubled over in excruciating pain and not able to move. All she spoke was
"Mom, please help." I began to panic not knowing what was happening
with my daughter. I knew that there was no way I could get to her fast enough
that would serve her well since I live approximately 30 - 35 minutes away. I could
hear in her voice that something was seriously wrong and she needed help fast.
She was home alone with my 2-1/2 year old grandson! I called my sister
who lives just a few blocks away and asked her to please go to her that she was
in serious trouble and needed to get to the hospital immediately. The hospital
being approximately 8 blocks distance from both my daughter and sister's house.
By the time they reached the hospital she was nearly unconscious from the pain.
I was on my way. By the time I arrived she was in the back of the ER still in
excruciating pain and not able to move or talk, lying on her stomach. They had
taken a urine sample, which revealed large amounts of blood. I began praying requesting
and invoking the power of the Holy Spirit and all powers that be of the One Most
High, including all arch angels & all ascended Reiki masters. Once
I felt myself within the light, completely engaged, I began. I immediately went
to the lower-mid part of her back, which was just radiating, almost as if someone
was holding fire under my hand! I saw a vision of what appeared to be a miniature
version of a kidney, however, clouded and grey. I began to see this within my
minds eye slowly being dissolved and breaking down. It began moving in an upward
motion. I continued extending healing for about 10 - 15 minutes. At that point,
she cried, "Mom, please stop it hurts"! I was reminded that spirit has
no concept of
our human pain. I stopped. After 10 - 20 minutes later she said,
"Mom, what did you do? The pain is going away." She was able to move
and the pain began subsiding. She went to use the
bathroom again and they
had her using a filter to see if anything was being released. Sure enough
it was a kidney stone that had mysteriously began dissolving and was passing all
toxins! Her body was raked with bacteria, however, the kidney and what was, is
no more! The Power of the Holy Spirit and All That Is, when invoked, believed
with all-knowing is ministered
to our side and utilized within each of us
when we so choose it to be that way! God and His healing, the Powers of All That
Is, the Creator's Divine Love manifest miracles and healing. Thanks and praise

Helps Hospital Ward
On January 9th I went into the hospital for retinal
surgery. Before the surgery I did the distant healing on the operating room and
the doctor. All through the surgery I continued with
Reiki. The surgery went
very well and I was sent back to the recovery ward. When I got to the ward I found
it very tense. This was a 24-hour day ward and up to 60 patients went through
in a day with 12 spending the night. There were patients having to wait for
surgery and others who were in pain. I cleared the room with Reiki and
then did the distant healing symbol over the entire room and began focusing Reiki
on the room. Within a few minutes everything calmed down. The patients who were
waiting for surgery went quickly and the ones in pain calmed. It was very interesting
for me to be just out of surgery and feeling the need to help others. I not only
felt the need to help but also felt well enough to help. Through the night every
time I woke I made sure the Reiki was still present. My recovery has been very
good but what sticks with me is how Reiki calmed the ward with all the different
people. Every night I say thank you for the gift of Reiki. Dave Carlson
