Reiki and Manifesting

Everyone has aspirations, desires, and dreams. Some are aware of their goals and are working to achieve them while others may have sublimated them to a certain extent, yet they still exist within the subconscious, waiting for a chance to be born. To grow, develop and expand is a natural part of being alive and we all have this potential to develop our lives in one way or another.
There are many ways to achieve our goals from the usual to the esoteric. Manifesting is a way to attract things and conditions into our lives involving a more direct use of the mind and psychic forces. The use of manifesting increases what is perceived as luck; people and resources become more available to help you achieve your goals. Ideas come more easily and there is usually a higher level of motivation to do what you need to do.
The basics for manifesting include having a clear idea of what you want to achieve, believing you will achieve it and adding strong positive emotional energy to the process. Once you have the idea, belief and emotion, combine them into an image and release the image with the expectation that on the higher dimension of creation, it is done. The better you can do this, the more successful you’ll be at manifesting.
Of course it’s usually necessary to follow up the process with practical plans of action, but by using a manifesting technique, things usually happen more easily and quickly.
Manifesting works and can help you achieve your goals. However, unless it is used with wisdom, it can lead to unwanted results. The ego doesn’t necessarily know what is best for you and by following its desires, it’s possible to manifest things that aren’t healthy for you to have. Following the ego’s desires can lead you away from your spiritual path and the use of manifesting by the ego will lead you away even faster. At first everything may seem fine and the ego feels so good, but eventually, if it’s your ego you’re following, you’ll end up with more problems than before and less happy as well. If what you manifest causes problems and you use manifesting to counter those problems, the situation could grow into more difficulties than you can manage. And at the same time you would likely be creating karma for yourself that will keep coming back no matter how much you use manifesting to get it to go away. Manifesting can also be used in competitive ways that harm others and attract negative energies. And it's possible to get people to do things for you they wouldn't otherwise have done which they regret having done afterwards. Manifesting without wisdom or manifesting from an unhealed place can create undesirable results that are often realized only after the fact.
One of the laws of the universe is that there is always a higher way. In terms of manifesting, the higher way is to allow divine wisdom to guide your manifesting process. To do this, it’s necessary to ask the ego to step aside. Only in this way can the divine power enter your life. Then you need a method to connect with the divine and allow it to guide and empower your life. When you do this, the divine mind will guide you to goals that are exactly right for you and that fulfill your true inner needs rather than causing you to chase after ego desires that are often shallow and bring short lived satisfaction.
Reiki is a wonderful way to bring divine guidance into your life and to guide your manifesting process. To use Reiki in this way, start by using the distant symbol to send Reiki to the divine guiding force. Once you’ve established this connection, say a prayer such as: “Guide me and empower my life to achieve the greatest accomplishments that divine wisdom can manifest through me,” or something similar. Do this before you start your day, and throughout the day, keep an open mind about the direction you are to take with your life or the goals that the wisdom of Reiki is guiding you to achieve. Keep notes and meditate on what comes to you. You’ll find that as you practice this process day after day, lucky breaks will occur and you’ll be guided into situations with people or experiences that provide you with a better understanding of yourself and of what is right for you to do. Healing experiences will also take place that help you release or work through blocks to truly meaningful success. Sometimes you’ll be guided to do things that seem difficult at first, but once you accept them and begin to do them, resources and people will be there to help you. You’ll find that you are growing and developing in ways that are exactly right for you and a deepening level of happiness will begin to develop within you.
When it becomes apparent that you are being guided to achieve specific goals, use Reiki to achieve them by writing your goal on a piece of paper, placing it between your hands and giving it Reiki. Then create a positive plan of action to achieve your goal and carry it out, always being open to the possibility of changing your plan in light of better information or clearer guidance.
We live in a world that can be truly benign for each of us. There are unlimited possibilities and an ever higher way for us to follow. The use of manifesting is a powerful tool, and can achieve its greatest purpose when we use it with wisdom. The use of Reiki is a wonderful way to release us from the illusion of ego desires and allow the divine to manifest all we experience.

Reiki and the Power of Love

We need love to live.
In my opinion the best way to experience the power of love is to watch parents with their newborn baby. See how their eyes glow with love, watch how they care, how much understanding and warmth there is in the atmosphere. How much they like to give comfort and protection to their little one. And this is exactly what the baby needs to grow, to develop her or his own personality, to become strong, intelligent and wise, gifted with a warm, loving heart.
But isn’t there a baby within each adult? So maybe love is as important to grown-ups as to a little one? Maybe love is a key ingredient to a high-quality life? Love is what makes life work. It gives us support for all kinds of relationships. Therefore it is an important ingredient in each spiritual healing. In my opinion, we cannot learn enough about love. There is always something related to that topic that gives us a new idea, an inspiration, an amazing perspective that opens doors for us and builds bridges. Listen to your heart for a moment and think about all the precious moments you have shared, given, or received love. But what is love?
What is love?
Love is the glue which holds the universe together. We all need it like the oxygen we breathe. Love always tries to create and support unity, peace, understanding, and happiness – to name only a few positive qualities. And love builds bridges between the spiritual and the material realms. So, why don’t we add love, which many people consider to be the strongest and most positive power in the world, in a more conscious way to our practice of Reiki?
Maybe you are thinking: “What does he want? Of course I include love in my Reiki practice! That’s the usual way. That’s how it should be!” And you are right. I know quite well that nearly every Reiki practitioner understands that love is a necessary ingredient for a good healing session with Reiki. Reiki people enjoy giving and receiving love – like during the annual Reiki Retreat in New York where several hundred people from all over the world meet and share Reiki, love and their experiences, have fun and regenerate from the business and the stress of the rest of the year.
But to profess or affirm something makes it stronger! To consciously choose to act in a loving way is an act of divine free will and therefore causes a lot of good karma that in turn will help to get rid of accumulated bad karma! This is why it makes sense to consciously integrate acts of spiritual love, such as those described below, into a Reiki session.
Isn´t Reiki already Love?
Reiki is not love. There is nothing in the KanjiReiki or the Master symbol which can be translated as “love.” But Reiki promotes every quality that is sufficient for life – like love, if we invite it! The more consciously we do something positive, the more divine this act becomes, because consciousness is a divine quality, like love and personal responsibility. The more we use these qualities consciously in a practical way in our lives the more Reiki can do for us by making these and other positive energies stronger and stronger.
Reiki promotes the process of life! A part of the process of life is, without any doubt, love. But as we all know, Reiki needs to be accepted and embraced by the client. If the client consciously agrees to love him or herself, the subconscious will understand this as an order to open up for healing. If the Reiki practitioner consciously agrees to help open the heart for the client, Reiki will be accepted and received to a much greater extent.
Adding Love to Spiritual Healing
I have achieved astonishing results through experimenting with the powerful energies of the heart chakra, with the different styles of heart meditation of the Sufis, Buddhists, and Shamans. With the exercises described below, I share with you some of my journey to the heart. Please understand that it is important to have a regular practice with these exercises to enjoy maximum results.
Love Creates Stronger Healings
Everybody knows from experience that the energy of love and spiritual healing work together well and support each other. But why is this so? The very center of the chakra system of a human being is the heart chakra. The heart chakra unites the visions from the spiritual realms with the possibilities, shortcomings, weaknesses, chances, and other given structures of the material realm. Its main and fundamental spiritual power is love. This divine quality always tries to create unity. It is even possible to create unity through love if the partners to be united are totally different – like spiritual visions and material structures. In a way, magnetism and gravitation are faces of love. The sun produces the warmth and the light we need to live on our beautiful planet through nuclear fusion, by creating unity, by producing a new, more developed element (helium) out of a simpler element (hydrogen). Applied love always tries to build more complex, more developed structures. Love supports any process of growing together, of oneness – and everything that supports this process or makes it possible, for example, qualities such as tolerance, understanding, and compassion.

Reiki Baby!
The doctor called me after my 6 week sonogram and said "I’m sorry but I would expect a miscarriage based on the findings of our test." I was devastated. He continued, “For the time being there is a heartbeat but it was very slow.” “Strangely,” he said, "It has a very large nutritional sac." From that statement I knew I had a chance to save my little zygote.
I was already doing regular Reiki treatments on myself from the conception of the pregnancy but now I had a mission and I intensified my concentration. At 9 weeks I was admitted to the hospital for severe dehydration and vomiting. I could not keep anything down and lost 10 lbs in a week. They admitted me to the maternity ward inserted an IV and said maybe you should let this one go.
But I couldn’t let this one go. I had already bonded with this little being and had dreams of a little girl. She had brown curly hair and brown eyes and the cutest face that I ever saw. In my dream she wore a little white dress and white sandals. It was her 1st birthday party and we were playing in the front yard. I picked her up, high above my head and then slowly brought her down to my face so that I could kiss her. It was too late to let this one go.
Then, on June 8, at 8:04 a.m. she entered the world. I was in hard labor for 10 hours. She was exactly like how I saw her in my dream. Against all odds, I believe the constant flow of Reiki, prayer and my love formed her beautiful little soul. We are a little more than one month away from her 1st birthday. Jennifer Williamson
Brain Damage Healed
My niece was born at the end of July last year. By the time everyone realized that her heart was failing she had been without oxygen for long enough to cause scarring on the brain and was dying. My Mother and I, both 2nd degree Reiki practitioners were 600 miles away. When we got the news we started distance Reiki flowing. We kept it up on the 2 hour drive to the airport and the 3 hour flight to the hospital. We kept it going in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit all through that long night.
In the morning, the doctor told us that not only did she survive the night against all odds but was showing signs of improvement. We stayed at her side for a week giving Reiki continuously. My beautiful niece has improved so much that she was able to undergo a successful heart transplant in December. I have sent her distance Reiki every morning of her life and I visit her in the hospital for a week every month and now she recognizes my Reiki energy the minute I walk into the room. This baby had an MRI last month with no sign of the brain scarring that had been so evident on that first MRI.
I send Reiki daily to the beautiful child and parents that had the courage to think of organ donation at their most desperate time. I don't know how to thank them for their amazing gift and trust in the intelligence of Reiki to find a way. Jayne Bury
Reiki and Brain Surgery
December of 2005 my sister underwent surgery to repair a small aneurysm at the base of her brain. The morning of the surgery she laid waiting in pre-op scared and nervous. Completely overwhelmed with fear she begged for someone to give her something to calm down. I stood up and began running Reiki energy to her heart and crown chakra's and in about 15 minutes I saw her begin to calm down. I asked her how she was feeling and she said she felt like someone had just given herf a sedative.
I continued to run energy to her until they came to get her for her surgery which was about an hour and a half. Afterwards when they wheeled her from the operating room she was completely alert and talking to us all the way to the ICU where she was to stay for observation. The nurses kept coming in and asking her if she had any pain and she said no she was fine. They couldn't believe how alert she was and they kept telling her if she had pain to let them know. She didn't take the first pain pill! The doctor's obviously expected her to have quite a headache as they sent her home with major pain killers.
She was doing so well in fact we had to continually remind her she had just had brain surgery and to take it easy! The whole procedure went as smooth as silk and I firmly believe it was due to the awesome healing power of Reiki! Blessings, Rita Johnson
Reiki Helps Head Injury
My 25 year old son Raymond was in a motor vehicle accident 5 years ago and sustained a serious brain injury. The left side of his skull was fractured in several pieces and he had
hemorrhaging and swelling throughout his brain. Every effort was made by the surgical staff to reduce the swelling. An intracranial pressure monitor was surgically inserted into Raymond's head to monitor the pressure surrounding his brain. He was not expected to survive. My family and I watched helplessly in the intensive care unit at St. Vincent 's Hospital as the monitor recorded the rising pressure numbers. Under the number ten is normal and Raymond's pressure was rising into the fifties.
It was during this horribly emotional time that Sister Joanne, a nun at the hospital asked if we would be interested in Reiki for our son. It was available through the hospital's foundation, she added. I had heard of Reiki but had not personally experienced it. We were desperate and open to anything and everything that could possibly help our son. He was in a coma. He was dying. "Yes", I said and within minutes of Sister Joanne calling the Reiki therapist, a young woman stepped off the hospital floor elevator and into the intensive care waiting room. She had an ethereal quality about her and radiated such peace that I knew she must be the Reiki therapist. Her name was Vera and as soon as she placed her hands on our son, the number on the intracranial pressure monitor started to decrease. We watched with awe and reverence. We thought a miracle was happening.
That experience was our first exposure to the healing power of Reiki. Those of us who stood by my son's bedside that afternoon saw with our own eyes the power of Reiki energy. We all saw the reduction of intracranial pressure being reflected and quantified by the decreasing numbers on a medical instrument as the Reiki therapist placed her healing hands over my son. Fortunately my son did survive. After that powerful and emotional initiation to Reiki, I then also became a Reiki therapist to assist my son in his long, rehabilitative path to wellness. Reiki is a part of my every day now. It is a touch from the Divine that came at a sorrowful and desperate time and became a blessing in the lives of my whole family. Maria Gaines
